The development of the STIE Perbanas Surabaya Library, following the development of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, where the development of STIE Perbanas Surabaya from Oral Bank "B" Cadre Education to the Surabaya Perbanas Academy of Banking Science (AIP Perbanas Surabaya) in 1970, and in 1982 with the opening of the Management Department named "AIP ” changed to “AIPM” and in 1985 changed its name and form to the College of Economics (STIE Perbanas Surabaya).

Along with these developments, the library automatically underwent a change from "AIP Library, AIPM Perbanas Surabaya" to "STIE Perbanas Surabaya". This development does not only concern the form and name but also relates to the place, facilities and infrastructure. Initially the library occupied a space of 200 square meters in gedua A, 2nd floor. With the completion of building C, the library moved to building C, floor 3 with an area of ​​500 square meters. In 1997 with the completion of the construction of building D, the library also moved to occupy an area of ​​750 square meters on the 4th floor, this year also the library organization developed from a section to a division, then the library was developed in terms of collection, service and capacity.

Currently, the library occupies the entire 4th floor of building D with an area of ​​955.3875 square meters which is divided into a book collection room, reference room and master's degree room, a special collection room (Final Project, research collection of the academic community of STIE Perbanas Surabaya, collection of financial data reports), EBSCO digital and online journal collection room, ESAC room (English Self-Access Center), periodical publishing room (journals, magazines and newspapers), circulation area and administration room.

In 2021 the STIE Perbanas Library moved to the Wonorejo campus which is currently also being transformed into the Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University Library which occupies the 2nd floor of building C, divided into several areas such as book collection area, reference area, special collection area (Final Project, civitas research collection). STIE Perbanas Surabaya academic year 2018-2019, collection of financial data reports), computer area, BI Corner area, reading and discussion area, silent room, public area, periodical publishing area (journals, magazines and newspapers), circulation area and administrative room.
